"Ohio Budōkan Japanese Martial Arts and Cultural Center, Inc. is a non profit 501(c)3 educational institution, founded in 1983 by Shihan (school superintendent) James I. Rodriguez as a center for the practice of Budō and Japanese cultural arts. Instruction is offered in three areas of martial art: Yamate Ryū Aikijutsu, Tenshin Ryū Kenjutsu, and Genwakai Karate-dō. In each of these arts, a student strives for enlightenment through a strict series of physical and mental exercises. Although the arts may seem very different to an outsider, they lead to the same goal."

Review: Our son has grown and matured so much during his time here at the dojo. The instructors are kind and accommodating but also serious about the martial arts. They are patient, but their no-nonsense approach fosters a sense of duty and responsibility in the students. We are so glad we enrolled our child here.

Review: Like the person reading this, I was a chump before I became a martial artist. After learning the sick moves of life and spirit, I can Hadouke-en!!!!! uhaghggggggg heyaaaaaaa, and I can KAMEHAMEHA. I've destroyed a couple houses with my ki attacks, I'm basically a God now thanks to Budoken Martial Artists.
